Kemer

Kemer is small enough to walk across in 20 minutes but sits at the mouth of some of the best hiking in Turkey — the Lycian Way begins (or ends) here depending which direction you walk. Phaselis, a few kilometers south, is one of the most atmospheric Roman ruins on the coast, set in pine forest with three Roman harbors you can swim in. The cable car up Tahtalı (2,365 m) drops you above the snow line in minutes. Olympos and Cıralı are 40 minutes away — bohemian, treehouse-stay, fire-mountain Chimera kind of vibe.
